Full Moon in Sagittarius - June 14, 2022

Early this morning we welcome the Full Moon in Sagittarius! As a Sagittarius Moon myself, I'm quite excited about this transit.

Sagittarius energy is adventurous, spontaneous, independent, and risk-taking. It is also extremely erudite, always seeking to learn more. Sagittarius by its nature is incredibly expansive. Ruled by Jupiter (the planet of abundance, luck, and expansion), Sagittarius takes on many of these traits as it explores the world from a place of optimism and absolute truth.

Our internal emotional world will be largely influenced by this energy during the full moon. We may feel called to speak up on something we've kept to ourselves for a long time, or be surprised by the bold expressions of others. Quick and honest communication is highlighted, as well as the desire to take a leap and go after what it is we truly want.

The full moon lands at 23 degrees Sagittarius, directly opposite from the sun at 23 degrees Gemini. After its retrograde back into Taurus, Mercury has joined us back in Gemini at 0 degrees.

There is a LOT of air and fire energy in this chart. Air amplifies fire. Applied wisely, this can provide an extra dose of courage, passion, and inspiration. Applied recklessly, this energy can result in disagreements and explosive fire.

While Sagittarius is ruled by Jupiter, this full moon makes a sextile to Saturn. As expansive as Jupiter is, Saturn is just as restrictive. However, I see this helping to lift any feelings of restriction we've been experiencing. This moon brings clarity around where we've felt stagnant or stuck, and gives us the energy we need to move forward if we choose to take action on it.

As difficult as it may be during this fiery moon, make sure you're acting from the state that you want to cultivate. The moon's square to Neptune can create a feeling of emotional confusion, fogginess, and uncertainty. On the extreme, this can make us question our reality and wonder if we've fallen into absolute delusion. This can also bring up feelings of self-doubt and insecurity.

Sagittarius sees what it wants and goes after it, boldly and unapologetically. Taking inspired action is absolutely supported by these energies. Before you act, make sure you're not making decisions out of fear or illusion.

Today's Full Moon is an excellent time to work with the fire element. Candle gazing, burning herbs for sacred smoke, and rituals are especially supported. To powerfully combine the fire and air elements, write down everything you're ready to release and then (safely) burn it to ash. If there's something you've wanted to express in order to call in your next big chapter, this is the time to do it.

Sagittarius energy supports you in DOING THE DAMN THING and going after EXACTLY what you have always wanted. When you take inspired action toward your dreams, you may find that they are fully within your grasp.
