Welcome to eclipse season! Today's New Moon Solar Eclipse in Taurus marks the start of a two-week eclipse window as we lead up to the Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Scorpio on May 16. Eclipse windows are powerful portals that bring in unexpected shifts to bring us into alignment with our destined path (if you missed my post on "What is a Portal?" I highly recommend going back to read it now!).
With the particular aspects to this New Moon Solar Eclipse, we are told strongly to expect the unexpected. Eclipses always bring a lot of this energy, but with Uranus (the planet of revolution, change, rebellion, and breaking limitations) at the same place as the moon, the probability of sudden, unforeseen shifts is amplified. You may find yourself suddenly feeling very, very free during this transit.
New Moons represent new beginnings, and Solar Eclipses bring everything fully into the light. You may experience sudden realizations and witness huge reveals of character. Whether comfortable or uncomfortable, the truth is coming out in every way possible. Hearts are being shown at this time.
For those who are operating from their truth and integrity and owning up to who they really are, this energy brings beautiful, beautiful shifts in all aspects of life. For anyone who has been hiding their true intentions, avoiding necessary changes, or dodging the consequences of their actions, karma is coming around to collect her dues.
Whether we like it or not, Solar Eclipses come in to expedite the inevitable and show us who we really are. They also reveal the true nature of those around us, unequivocally, clear as day.
With this New Moon Solar Eclipse in Taurus, there will be a lot of changes unfolding clearly in our physical world. This means tangible, visible shifts coming forth in our relationships, our home life (many people will be moving homes over the next few months!), our career, and any other area of life that has been asking for change.
Remember: while eclipses are known to bring sudden shifts that can feel shocking or difficult at times, these are all destined shifts. While we may not understand the "why" immediately, anything that is crumbles or falls away is for a reason. Anything that happens during this timeframe will show itself to be a blessing over time.

The changes that come with an eclipse are not optional. They simply exist. They are destined, unavoidable, and will come through your life like a wrecking ball when they need to. We don't control the changes that will happen, but we do have a choice in how we move with these critical shifts.
When we trust the process and allow ourselves to flow with the current, these changes happen much more smoothly. When we grip and grasp and fight with the waves, we exhaust ourselves by making things so much harder. During eclipse season, we end up in the same place anyway. It's our perspective and attitude that we have control over, and this in itself can change the entire experience that is available to us.
It's important to pay attention to the areas where we are so fixed in our desires or our expectations that we simply refuse to budge. During an eclipse portal, this only serves to create more pain and stagnation as we move through the necessary changes that are coming in for us.
The most effective strategy during eclipse season is to buckle up and observe what is happening within and around us. While we may not understand what's happening immediately, all will be made very, very clear over the next 2-4 weeks. We simply need to pay attention and accept what is being presented to us.
With Venus conjunct Jupiter today, this energy brings forward unexpected shifts in the areas of love, abundance, and relationships. This energy is expansive and opens the way for new opportunities and experiences to take physical form in front of us.
With the moon trine Mars, a fire has been lit under us and we are being pushed forward, not from the ego but from deep within our hearts. Our inner emotions are being brought into focus, not only internally, but externally as well. When channeled into aligned action, these deep feelings bring in opportunities to create major change in a single instant. The key is to be who we are at our core, and act from the heart.
