You are the Steward of Your Energy

It is so incredibly important to find ways to calm & soothe our nervous system.

When our nervous system is in a constant state of fear or panic we become chronically ill — not only physically, but mentally, emotionally, energetically, spiritually.

Mainstream society creates a constant barrage against the nervous system, so much so that this becomes part of our “normal” experience.

Constantly on guard, hyper vigilant, in an emotionally and physiologically heightened state.

We were never meant to live like this.

Our focus, our attention, our emotions, our energy is sacred.

These are the most important currency.

This is why our energy is pulled, grabbed at, vied for, and so incredibly targeted as we walk around in the world today.

This dying system that feeds on our energy is on its way out, and it’s trying to bring as many souls with it as it goes.

If we wait for the external world to tell us it’s time to rest, time to breathe, time to take care of ourselves — we will always be holding our breath.

From this approach and this lens, there will always be the next big crisis right around the corner.

Regardless of what is happening in the world, we are responsible for our inner world.

We are our own keepers.

We are our own stewards and caretakers and wayshowers.

We decide what stays and what goes.

We decide what we consume and what we let go.

The most important thing we can do at this time is to consciously choose where we are directing our energy.

This concept is akin to self-parenting.

If your kid was glued to a screen feeling anxious and fearful 24/7, would you let them continue this way? Or would you lovingly intervene and let them rest?

Treat yourself as you would a beloved child.

Create room for peace. Create room to breathe. Create room for play and openness and imperfection and reflection and curiosity.

There is no need to decide anything now. It’s okay not to have it all figured out. There is no need to prove anything.

When the nervous system feels relaxed and safe, we perceive and experience things differently.

We can connect the dots. Feel into situations. Practice discernment. Think critically. Breathe deeply.

It is from this place, not from the place of fear and overwhelm, that we create what we truly wish to see in the world.

Close your eyes for a moment.

Breathe.

Do you feel it now?

Good.

I love you.
